When you need an image under 1024 KB
Email attachments over 1 MB often get blocked or stripped. Cloud storage previews load slowly with larger files. Tips for best results
At 1 MB most photos retain nearly all their original detail. This is a light compression target. If your file is already under 1 MB, the tool will let you know. For very large images (10+ MB from a DSLR), the compressor can usually hit 1 MB at quality 85+ which is visually indistinguishable from the original.
